Summary0000733: File-Based Templates
DescriptionThere would be some obvious advantages to file-based output templates:

Versioning at the template level instead of the entire table/export.

Full PHP code could be used instead of only PHP strings.

Sub-templates could be coded into templates rather than always in the controller script.

Eliminates eval statements, echo statements, template management, and related database traffic.

 This feature was largely completed in SVN r3094 - r3100. The control panel features for db-stored templates and the db tables themselves still need to be removed.
