DescriptionChanges in post body storage in 1.10 betas have disrupted quote handling as it pertains to smilie replacements. But this is just a new symptom of an old problem.

Anywhere we have an entity reference followed by some other text, it can be interpreted as a smilie code that began with a semi-colon.
